Dear ISF Parents and Guardians,
I hope you enjoyed a refreshing summer break and are ready to take full advantage of the 2024-25 school year's excitement and opportunities. The ISF team and I have been working hard all summer to get everything ready for you and we all look forward to welcoming you and your children back on campus.
Welcome back! As we step into the first week of this new chapter, there’s an undeniable sense of renewal in the air. The start of a new season is more than just a return to routines; it’s an opportunity for fresh beginnings, growth, and the pursuit of new goals.
For many, the transition back can be both exciting and challenging. It’s a time to reconnect with teachers, friends, and the tasks that define our days. But it’s also a chance to reflect on what we’ve learned, set our intentions, and approach the future with a renewed sense of purpose.
This new beginning is for everyone—whether you’re a student stepping into a new school year, a teacher returning to the class, or parents simply looking to make the most of the changing season. Let’s embrace the opportunities that come with this fresh start.
We had a truly wonderful ceremony with our Grade 1 families to celebrate the special milestone of Einschulung! It was heartwarming to see our new first graders proudly receiving their student IDs, walking on stage, and waving to their parents with big smiles before heading to their G1 classroom with our senior class. This moment marks the beginning of an exciting journey filled with learning, growth, and countless new experiences.
Congratulations to all the parents and students for reaching this important milestone. Your attendance and encouragement mean the world to us and have made this occasion even more special. We’re thrilled to have you as part of our school community.
In August, the SLO® leadership team connected with all the staff through introductions and fun games. We’re excited about our new team members and look forward to a great year of cooperation and growth together!
We are thrilled to share that our Kindergarten and Preschool children have had a wonderful start to the new school year 2024-2025.
On Wednesday, August 14 we welcomed the new children in small groups to help them settle into their new routines. One week after, all returning children came back to join the new children.
Our days have been filled with fun activities, new friendships, and lots of learning through play and music. It has been such a joy to see the smiling faces of the children when meeting their old friends and teachers from last year.
We are excited about all the adventures and learning opportunities ahead!
Our Summer School was a big success this year! The program was packed with non-stop fun, offering a diverse range of activities that kept our campers engaged and excited throughout.- Gymnastics is one of the standout activities, our gymnastics sessions helped campers build strength, flexibility, and confidence as they mastered new skills. Swimming is another camp favorite, offering a perfect blend of fun and fitness.
The success of this year’s camp is a testament to the enthusiasm of our students, the dedication of our staff, and the support of our families. We look forward to continuing this tradition of excellence next summer!
Ayan, Adya and I all attended the SLTC in Greece for over a week. We spent the time in workshops and presentations on how to be better leaders. We also met many new students and learned how SLO at their SABIS schools works. Overall it was a great experience that we all enjoyed and we are excited to implement the things we learned at ISF.

As a school community, we are proud to continue to celebrate the academic achievements of our ISF Class of 2024. Fifty-seven ISF Seniors successfully met the standards and requirements of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme and were awarded the full IB Diploma. They managed to achieve an overall average score of 33 (out of 45) exceeding the world average by 3 points. The highest score achieved was 43 points, and students scored an average 5.25 points(out of 7) in their individual subjects.
Twenty-nine students were awarded a Bilingual Diploma, meaning that they had selected two language courses at the native-speaker level. Thirty-five students also met Abitur- Equivalency standards with their diplomas, and achieved full and direct access to German universities with an Abitur Equivalent score average of 2,4. In total, 12 of these students achieved an Abitur Equivalent with the coveted 1 before the comma.
Forty-four students from Grades 10 and 11 also successfully completed their IGCSE (International General Certificate of secondary Education) Examinations last spring, sitting 99 exams in 16 different subjects, achieving 85 scores of A* to C. The highest grades of A* and A was achieved 54 times.
These achieves are the results of the hard work of our students, the dedication of our staff and the support of our families. They are a testament to what we can achieve if we are working together towards a common goal.
Congratulations and well done! We are all very proud of you!
