Term 2 Awards Assembly

On Tuesday, March 28, Grade 2 had their assembly in the Gym.  On Wednesday, March 29, Grades 3 and 4 gathered in the Theatre. We had the pleasure of grade 4 girl open the assembly with a piano piece.

It is always a happy occasion when we have the opportunity to gather the children and teachers together as a community and acknowledge our progress and achievements of the last term. The End of Term Awards Assembly is one of the important childhood experience in the primary years at ISF. The children learn proper decorum on how to come forward in front of an audience, perhaps even coming on stage to receive an award. At the same time, the children learn how to be an attentive, appreciative and gracious audience.

It is uplifting to see children happy for their classmates who received recognition while at the same time accepting and dealing with their own feelings of disappointment if they do not receive anything.  We are all looking forward to the next assembly at the end of Term 3.
