Summer Concert
The KG-PS had the much-awaited Summer Concert this month. It was a wonderful event and the little ones were so happy and excited to see their parents in the theatre. There were shout-outs for ‘Mama’ and ‘Papa’, waving of hands, and flying kisses being blown as the little ones made their entry. Parents, on the other hand, were surely equally excited to see their little ones perform live on stage. The theme of the concert this time was ‘FRIENDS’. And this time too the students made the parents sing along with them. The parents and students sang the song "Make New Friends" together. Thank you dear Ms. O’Sullivan and Mr. Georgio and our lovely KG-PS teachers who spent days preparing for the event.
This year too, like last year, the day did not end with the performances in the theatre. The parents then met up in the Kindergarten area. The little ones' creation this time was a pot decorated with a flowering plant. The parents could take the plant home and also make a donation to the Kenya project for it. Thank you teachers for all the effort. We are sure the parents truly loved them. And we would also like to thank our wonderful parents for their donations. We collected 300 Euros for the ISF Kenya Project in the form of donations.
Please see the pictures to see the pre-concert preparations and the main concert.
Harvest Time!
The preschoolers finally got to see the result of their hard work. Their plants bore fruits. Yes, we grew strawberries!! The preschoolers were then allowed to taste the fruit of the plant that they had planted, watered, and nurtured for so many weeks now. We are sure they thoroughly enjoyed every moment as much as the teachers enjoyed planning them. Thank you teachers for the wonderful experience.
Field Trip!
Field Trips are back again. Yes, the kindergarten and preschool children went on their much-awaited field trip to the OPEL ZOO. The weather was wonderful. It was warm with a little breeze at the beginning but then as the day went on, it started getting a little hotter. Even then the little ones loved each moment of it. They got to see animals like the Giraffe, Cheetah, Elephant, Monkeys, etc. They also saw some birds and reptiles. They then stopped at their resting Hut for their lunch and had a fun time playing in the playground there. Before leaving the Zoo they were treated to a vanilla candy ice cream. We are sure they enjoyed the cool treat on a warm summer day. We are looking forward to having more such field trips in our KG-PS.
Flying off to Grade 1
It is the time of the year, when we see our little ones who walked through our doors two years ago not ready to leave their parents, all ready and set to become big girls and boys and walk out of the same doors and venture into the world of Primary school. As much as we are happy to see them turn into confident students, we are sad to see them go. It has been always a tradition at ISF that the Preschool students get to visit the Grade 1 class and learn all about how their academic life is going to be next academic year. We had a group of totally excited and thrilled kids who were happy to learn that they would finally have access to the main playground. At the same time, there were so happy to see where their classroom would be next academic year. Ms. Jarque, the primary coordinator took the little ones around the primary department and classrooms. We at KG-PS are so proud of what our little ones have achieved and we wish them the very best for the future.
Graduation Party!
The last week at our KG-PS has been full of events. One of them was the graduation ceremony for the little preschoolers who are all set to go to Grade 1. The celebrations included wonderful decorations, a beautiful cake, performances by teachers and students, and of course lots of fun and dancing. Thank you Ms. Wajma Richardson from the Parent Network for organizing the wonderful celebrations. The children enjoyed the rainbow cake a lot.
