Playgroup at ISC-Lahore, is a 3-month, preschool program for children 2 ½ to 3 years of age (by August 2023)
to help them prepare for their first year in the ISC-Lahore Kindergarten.
Playgroup takes place from

The playgroup program is designed to provide the youngest of learners with a safe place to discover the world around them, develop their social, emotional, and behavioral skills, as well as grow into students who are prepared for their first year of formal schooling.
Aiming to make the children’s transition into ISC-Lahore’s Kindergarten a smooth one,
children enrolled in the ISC-Lahore Playgroup program will:
  • Become familiar with school routines, allowing them to become confident students come September
  • Learn to follow simple instructions, aiding in the development of their behavioral and social skills
  • Develop their social skills through interacting with their teachers and fellow students
  • Establish fine motor skills which develop their independence
  • Get introduced to the English language as a medium of instruction and communication

Academically, the children will:
  • Learn letters from a to m (phonics, formation of the lower case, and vocabulary related to the sounds)
  • Learn numbers 1 to 5 (counting, formation, making sets, etc.)
  • Recognize the basic colors (red, blue, yellow, and green)
  • Recognize and form the basic 2-D shapes (circle, square, triangle, rectangle)
  • Learn pencil control and prewriting activities
  • Enjoy weekly themes as a basis of discussion and vocabulary acquisition, reinforced with various activities (art, exploring different types of material/objects, experimentation)
The Playgroup day at ISC-Lahore is tailored to fit the needs and abilities of the children and benefit from their varying energy levels to keep them engaged and interested.
